The City of Scandia’s City Council has elected to award the Base Bid and Alternate for the 2024 Street Improvement Project on February 20, 2024. The lowest bidder, Asphalt Surface Technologies Corporation will be the prime contractor for this project. Due to the favorable bids received, the City has also approved the additions of the following roads:
- Lamar Avenue
- 186th Street
- Kirk Avenue
- 185th Street (West of Manning Trail North)

The Project scope includes pavement reclamation and re-paving, as well as stormwater drainage improvements. This includes work such as ditch grading and culvert replacements. Please check the City’s website for the latest updates on this project. You will also be notified with important information on this project as the project reaches milestones and prior to construction starting.
